walking my breath

Wednesday morning began with a 6:30 walking meditation session. Optional, naturally. And it was stinkin’ early. But as poet-K pointed out, it was exactly my thing.

I managed to incorporate a new practice: keeping my steps (pace) inside my meditative breathing. This, my friends, is slooowww.

But it made lots of room for looking. So much so, that I eventually started singing this song (internally, it was a silent meditation):

I had “Nearly Missed” on a record–a 45, if you know about those. I played it a LOT; it’s one of my favorites, next to “Rubber Ducky.”

Can I say I was spiritually formed at age 4 by Susan from Sesame Street?

Anyway, here’s one of the things I didn’t miss:

Some variety of tiny flower and fruit (technically) in a sea of shrub-leaves
